Memorial Day

Prompt: Joy asked us how we feel about Memorial Day and what branch of service we would serve if we had to.

Memorial Day is a way we honor those who served in the military. I am glad we do because I don't want a war in my back yard! I would serve in the Air Force if I had to serve. I always wanted to fly air planes when I was in high school. My father did and went to Viet Nam 3 times. I wouldn't want to go to war but if duty called, I wouldn't have had a choice. After being a passenger on planes, I don't like flying, so forgot the pilot idea. I do love military planes and I have visited a few. We do need a day to honor our military people.
