The days of old are lost with youth.
The days lived now produce a truth
We search for loves from nearest ridge
as water passes 'neath the bridge.

My parents playing through the days
of joyful dance and praise displays
Are gone from sight and still a smidge
as water passes 'neath the bridge.

Some friends of ninety years or more
have boarded ship for other shore.
Our honored words we must abridge
as water passes 'neath the bridge.

My days of life are rushing past.
I would my crafts of life would last.
with hopeful heart, not just relig
as water passes 'neath the bridge.
