154 words All the Way By Lisa Noe You once had me clear I was with you dear I followed you around I worshiped your ground Then I didn’t know It was time for me to go I wanted to break free But this you didn’t see You chased me where I went I never gave you a hint Where I might go You followed my flow Mississippi bound But there I was found I ran so far away I left you that day Off to the shore Where I will explore Things I’ve never seen It’s my fondest dream But you wanted me to go To the country of Mexico I didn’t want to leave the USA For here I shall always stay My land that I love Come push or shove I’m leaving you now I’ve taken a final bow. |
