We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
Take me to the place of my dreams, where the Source of my Hope is now seen. "Come further up! Come further in!" Take Lewis' hand! Eternally win! He wrote of a country we'd ne'er known before that is the homeland we seek and Oh so much more. The Joy of my heart! The length of my days! The Savior Above to cherish and praise! Oh, ever to live in the place of my dreams. Oh to finish here well, making certain the "seems." Has eye ever seen? Has heart ever known the dreams and the hopes of that Heavenly Home? This Earth-suit of now's full of limited stuff, but one look in His Eyes and that's ever enough. My days here are dreaming and waking and food, but Banquet o'er there will make this look quite rude. My life is a circle of days, nights and years, of light and then dark, of joys and then fears, but when I am living the dreams of my heart. They'll be more than I know for my mind cannot start. Oh the dreams of my hopes and my reaching to know are ensconced in The Lord, He Who makes my love grow. Oh to be just with Him are the joys of my days and the dreams of my nights, so ecstatic in praise. What are dreams without Him? Just some clouds full of fluff. All are grasping and grabbing and filling with stuff. On a journey to seek some exotic locale is as hopeful as talking to a computer, named "Hal." One more stroke on the finest of Monet's is a curse. Thus, perfection you take and you make it quite worse. When I'm seeking the joys of the greatest of dreams, I need look in the Face of The One, Who redeems. Just take me, I beg you, to my dreams in their place, where The One, filled with Love, is my mercy and grace. Oh, show me the cross with its foot stain-ed red, then show me the tomb where He'd never stay dead. Yes, the place of my dreams will forever take me to this Jesus, the Christ, The Father's Son, He. And my dreams are secure in the place of His Heart, Whose gifts are all best to the last from the start. Line Count: 40 by Jay O'Toole on September 25th, 2018 |
