A Christian as a Teen

"If one would have a friend on Earth,
then one must be a friendly sort.
"There is a friend of noble birth,
whose nearness is of great import."
(Proverbs 18:24)

But what if trying a friend to be,
just loses more than I can gain.
There must be something I don't see.
There must be rules not written plain.

Creator Lord became my Friend
through life and death and life, again.
My life on Earth may oft attend
great lonely days that seek to mend.

The greatest love is selfless love.
A teen, who gives, may have to give.
The friendship born from Grace Above
will last through ever ages live.
