Peaceful Moments

A time to pause,
a time to think,
a list to listen, breathe,
a time to hope about my cause,
a time to sip and drink
of coffee, tea, and Joy beneath.

Whence this peace my heart doth hope?
Whence this longing to daily cope?
Whence The Savior of my soul?
Whence the Hope that makes me whole?
Whence the cup of Joy He brings?
Whence the daily song I sing?

Lost without a prayer on Earth,
lost in need of best New Birth,
lost by cause of making mine,
lost of sound, of sight, quite blind.
Lost, but once before He came.
Lost no more. No more the same.

Now, peaceful moments with my Friend.
Now, peaceful moments without end.
Now, peaceful moments, beating heart
causes peaceful moments from the start.
These peaceful moments bring new thought.
Through peaceful moments I am taught.
