| The ended flood By Lisa Noe As we walk through the meadow of flowers I look at the thick brush all around us I wonder if the flood washed the animals' homes away The daisies are white the wild roses are red It makes me want to skip and run and do all of this with you, it would be fun Across the field a deer drinks she watches to make sure we're not around, so she thinks She's scared and afraid of what we might do she runs away even though she's not through. The sun shines bright as the rain has ended the flood is gone and a rainbow appears the blue sky speaks volumes with the clouds that hang low. Now it is time for you and I to go to our home on the hill. four time Quill winner |
