What is your go-to dish to bring to a potluck? Does your family have any traditional recipes? (In Hawaii, these appetizers are called “pupus” *Cool*)

It's been a few years since I attended a potluck. When I went, I normally made jello salad of some type or Spanish rice. Today, if I were to attend a potluck I'd probably purchase a salad or something in a grocery store. If I couldn't get to a grocery store the next option is to open a can of fruit, put it in a container, and take that. I could also make a bean salad because I have several different types of canned beans, which make a great bean salad. With canned beans all you have to do is open the cans, drain the liquid, and add some spices. I don't know what type of spices I have, but I'm sure I could figure out something.
