Trilonnet: "The Thoughtless Word"

A lasting friendship, cherished, precious gift
requires the care of china on display.
Neglect will push it past the breaking point.

We share so many words, that daily lift
our hearts to hope throughout each coming day
these seasoned words our lives to bless, anoint.

The early days of fervor rarely drift.
Connection's strong, together come what may,
but suddenly a difference of viewpoint.

Foundation's crack has come by little shift.
They're mystified, and have not much to say.
The reason's same of which they both pinpoint.

A thoughtless slip of tongue was lightly spoke
as now the friendship lays in pieces, broke.
