The World: "Awaiting Your Arrival"

"We see, that you are nearly grown
as childhood has been nearly sown.
"With chops we salivate the thought,
that you are new and could be taught."

"Your parents hold belief as dear.
That's one thing we know crystal clear.
"Yet, when you part their home for us,
we'll try to throw them 'neath the bus."

"You're young with many ways to go.
Your parents' lives are 'This we know,'
"but shouldn't you test the waters new,
before deciding what is true?"

"The sweetest notes of every day
are how to eat and work and play.
"There's plenty time to the future seek
when youth is gone and years are bleak.
"Enjoy the day without this thought,
your belly full in pleasures bought."

"Who cares what your parents taught before.
You're older now, with so much in store.
"Old fogies need not cramp your style.
Just stay with us and play awhile."

"We see your mind is filled with school,
you'd complete your college to be cool.
"It's true some good can come of that,
but that's not really where it's at.
"Just eat, be merry, enjoy your life.
'Much learning makes you mad' in strife."

"You have some cash, we heard you say.
That makes us happy for today.
"Tomorrow the sun may burn us off
before our chapeau we've a chance to doff."

"You'll cry, but we don't really care.
There'll be fresher fish we need to share.
"But 'Hey!' your folks are right outside.
That's if you don't still need your pride."
