The Little Gem

The little gem she glistens bright
from day to day and night to night,
awaiting purchase by the one,
who'll take her home as a treasure won.

"Young man, you'll buy this little gem
for a bride, whose 'one' will soon be 'them.'
"This gem's been cherished in my heart,
held close and shined right from the start."

"My thoughts are sad, that this release
will be my loss, but your increase.
"Please, value this a jewel rare
to make her now your daily care."

"The price is your devoted soul
to hold her dear like priceless gold,
"for always in my treasure trove
I'll keep the mem'ries of her love."

My precious daughter, gem so choice
with wondrous spirit, soothing voice
will be one Christian man's consort
'til Heaven calls to their final port.

The little gem, my cherished gift
to Christ my daily prayers be lift.
One day a king will take her hand
to bless her life by Sovereign Plan.

Two hearts created this lone gem
from love of honor just for Him.
He placed this gem within our hearts.
From there she never, ever parts.
