my prayers and thanks to God for the life he gave me. |
He lived off of the land and wore pelts and rags He was not a handsome or good looking man Albeit He was one of the finest men of God He lived a life for God, baptizing all who came to him He preached of a great one to come in the near days He condemned those who blasphemed God One day a man came to him asking to be baptized. OH, who am I to baptize one such as you. The man was known as Jesus a carpenter from Nazarene. Yes, I shall Baptize you and as he did a wondrous thing occurred. The sky opened up and a dove appeared. For surely Jesus is the one For whom we have been waiting. Jesus thanked the Baptist whose name was John and left to go into the wilderness for a bit alone. John was a frightening looking man his face covered whiskers, his hair long and unkempt, his clothes were rags and pelts of animals. Yet He was chosen to baptize The Lord Savior. He was one of God’s Chosen men throughout History. The moral of my story is to not judge a book by its cover. Don’t judge a person on their appearance instead judge them On their hearts. |
