Linking Rhyme Discussion
Linking Rhyme

I set upon a quest to rhyme
a simple, thoughtful, crafted piece
in metric rhythm, words in time.

My muse awakes and seeks release
to search a new creative path,
expressed in imagery to please.

I know, I'm not a Sylvia Plath,
I don't pretend or suggest
my lines resound and are all that.

And at our leader Dave's behest,
I write not three, but five tercets.
Admittedly, it's not my best.

I'll add a line to end the sets
and say, a Terza Rima played.
Sometimes I have to hedge my bets.

For now, another poem made.
