Author’s Note: This was written for the January 2020 round of "Rhythm & Rhyme: Poetry/Lyrics Challenge" ![]() Day 3 Prompt: Write your own lyrics to the tune of the ABC Song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Baa Baa Black Sheep **Growing up in the home of a Baptist preacher, I learned the truth of the Gospel message from my earliest years. I became a Christian at age six, and I have had no more important thoughts to share than that all men everywhere need to come to Jesus, the Christ of Nazareth, for everlasting salvation. The tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" has been known to my young heart for just as many years. To marry the tune and the message is a great joy to my heart. I pray, that every reader will gain everlasting encouragement in His great Salvation purchased on Calvary's Cross and through the resurrection from the garden tomb, which was borrowed but for a weekend. I've given a theme and variation, that you should recognize easily enough in verse #2.** |
