Joy of Thanksgiving a spiritual journey

He is always there

Sometimes things don't go your way,
you lose control and have a bad day.

You say those things you know you shouldn't,
regretting your mouth, and saying I wouldn't.

We are all sinners, there's very few saints,
when things don't go your way don't faint.

The good Lord has a plan in store
Through our sins, He will explore.

He answers prayers in various ways,
it may not be for what you prayed.

You may be surprised by what he does in your life,
Just remember He took your every stripe.

You owe Him a debt, you can only repay,
by welcoming Him in your heart when you pray.

When I fall to my knees in prayer,
I know my Lord is always there.
