Night Music--Ravenfly

Late night, the music drones along
Soul awakens, rejoices
with mandolin and banjo song
the simplest of life's choices.

Cricket song through open windows
snores of sleeping spouse and son
Carried off where the rhythm goes
a long journey has begun.

Goodbye to the sleepyheaded housemates!
on the fiddle train through steel guitar gates.

Rules:
This is a rhyming poem and it has three stanzas: 2 quatrains and a couplet.
The line length is based on syllabic count as opposed to meter, but it could very easily lend itself to tetrameter for the quatrains and pentameter for the couplet.

Syllabic count: 8-7-8-7, 8-7-8-7, 10-10
