Daddy's Girl
Daddy’s Girl
By Lisa Noe
I sit, wishing you were across from me,
Dreaming that I could go backward In time.
Hoping that I will see you in Heaven,
And knowing that we were once best friends.
Today’s Father’s Day, I sit filled with tears,
Mama’s missing you, more than you could know.
Sis and I laugh at what fun we all had.
We’d play pool, go fishing, skating and bowl.
Over the years you taught me really well,
Made me stay in school and learn my lessons.
Taught me to be understanding to all.
When you died, a part of me was destroyed.
