Fine Monet

The fine Monet from far away
gives pleasure to the eye,
but closer looks do oft betray
the questions, that apply.

"How do these dots of oily paint
make such creations rare?
Why do the closest watchings taint
what looks good, over there?"

"Why do the workings of the Lord,
magnificent when done,
seem so against the living Word
through days of waning sun?"

A fine Monet can teach us best
the way the Lord yet breathes.
We see close work within each test,
but One Day sight He frees.
