Note: Beverley Minster is a parish church in Yorkshire and is often described as a gothic masterpiece. Visit early, in the first light of dawn and creep into its awe-inspiring interior, let the the height of the nave impress you, and hope that the organist is about to commence his practice. That’s how I saw Beverley and I only wish I had a few more syllables to introduce the burst of magnificent sound of the church organ in that vast, silent space, as happened to me.
