Shakespearean Sonnet: "Rest in Hope"
The future seems great stormy tossing waves,
that few survive with restful hope intact,
but bind your doubts as awful sniv'ling slaves.
Then rest in hope with Christ your greatest fact.
The present seems uncertain as a day,
for those against us seem a mighty horde,
the foe must bow before Him and obey
the Rest, the Hope, the Worthy, Mighty Lord.
The host on horses all the city round
can make the hearts of servants soon to fear,
but angels of the Lord will quick confound
for eyes, that newly see His Purpose clear.
Oh, rest in hope, beleaguered saints of God.
Salvation from His hands will leave you awed.
