So we all know I’m still in high school, but I’ll take a crack at this anyway. I’m a freshmen in a rural area. I’m not sure what exactly it would be like if I were at my old school where the prejudices run deep and jerks abound, but I know it’s better at this school. I still can’t be proud about who I am but I’m able to make small inferences. I recently wrote a short story about two women getting married in 1st person. I had to add various things to it to keep with the prompt, but it was still me. I would never have been able to do it if I were still attending the religious school.

I talk about my sexuality a lot on here and sometimes I’ll apologize over and over but other times I’m going to ignore that side and focus on being proud. I haven’t met anyone like me around here except Kat, who lives a few hours away in another town, so this, and my mother’s house, is my way to feel happy about it. I can’t do it on socials because I’m not stupid enough to out myself to those who hate people like me. With that in mind, if it bothers you, I apologize and next time I’ll discuss something else.

Now, back to the subject at hand. I don’t know how this will change me or if it will at all. High school itself has done nothing for me but those in age around me have. Kat, her roommate, other friends, they all make it easier. None of us live near each other except for Kat and the roommate who live together. It’s a residential high school. Still, we talk and enjoy making jokes and banter. The only time high school would change anything about me would be if I was somewhere where I could happily and safely discuss being a dummy rainbow with others. There is a place like that and while I’m aiming to go (especially with Kat being there) I know it may still not happen.

All in all, I dunno. I guess I would have to answer this three years from now.

Until next time *Cookie3*
