My thoughts released; a mind set free

These pages contain my thoughts, from meandering ideas and persuasions to deep cerebrations and serious mentations.

Why, for what purpose? To release my mind and set creativity free. Somewhere inside the constraints of my mind dwells a writer, a poet, an artist who paints with words. In here, I release those constraints and set the artist free.

Perhaps, lost somewhere in the depths of thought, is a story or a poem, waiting to be written.

Your post made me realise how we spend so much of our lives wishing it away! I've been guilty of that, wishing for March and the start of autumn here in Western Australia. March is a strange month here, it can bring heat, hotter than summer days. We just experienced the hottest week of the summer with temps up in the forties but today I've just changed the mode on my aircon to warm! I'm wearing a jacket. The indigenous peoples have six seasons instead of our four.which makes much more sense to me.

I just...Couldn't! It is Full-on Spring here in Southeast Texas! I am counting the days until High Summer.. my Favorite season!

I know I've said this before and I remember where you are, but we have almost exact weather. Snowed, than rained, now freezing rain off and on till Thursday. Snow got a beating, I say no moderate weather till April.

I can relate. It's a choice between morning and night, and I can understand how it's nice to have an added hour of light in the evenings instead of in the mornings. What I don't understand is the people who think we get an extra hour of daylight, and why we continue to change the clocks.

I understand all that but i still like it lighter later. Instead of being dark at 530 or 6. Each to his own..the government is going to do what it wants regardless of what we like or dislike. My opinion.

Not a doc, obviously, but in my experience, the eye thing may be unrelated. I had a spontaneous vision improvement a few years ago, which later turned into the opposite of improvement, and I had to get cataract surgery to fix it.

Second day in the 60's here. Light enough rain to cause arthritis to fuss with me, but all in all a nice day. Glad your feeling so much better.

Another Round of Winter

I didn't get much done in here yesterday; it was just one of those days. The best part about yesterday is that it's over. Today is going well, considering it's winter again. The temperature climbed just above the thawing point, enough to make the three or four inches of snow we got really wet, really heavy, and really difficult to shovel.

I did get the front and back cleared, and I shoveled out in front of the garage doors. My wife's back to work today, but even if she had the day off, it's not enough snow to take the snowshoes out. By the time she gets another day off, it's likely to be mostly melted off again. Not much good for snow activities, but it will make for more mud.

I find it interesting how we spend February waiting for March. And how do we spend March, waiting for April, of course. I'm reminded of my parents and grandparents saying, "February snows bring March winds, March winds bring April showers, and April showers bring May flowers." My dad liked to add, "May flowers bring pilgrims." I, however, changed that to, "May flowers bring June bugs."
