This will contain all flash fiction challenge entries. I can't be certain but I'm willing to bet that some of it may be a bit disturbing. I'm working on improving my beloved craft so some of these stories may be a bit - out of the norm. In particular, the style, the settings, and word choices will be much different than my usual works. I do however, hope you enjoy it and if you do please let me know! Preface This collection is dedicated to Ms. Judith Dici, my high school literature teacher. Without your wonderful class, I may never have developed a love for the great works of American and English authors alike. I thank you sincerely for sparking my interest in some of the greatest stories ever written. The process of delving into the black abyss is to me the keenest form of fascination. - H. P. Lovecraft My whole life, I've always been touched by the works of the darker authors like Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, and Emily Dickinson. It is my intention to venture beyond the world of Fantasy, which is my comfortable niche genre, and delve deeper into the largely unexplored recesses of my muse. I've always held writers of the supernatural, occult, and dark genres to a high standard as they paint such a lavish picture of gloom and dreariness that just fascinates me. As I mentioned to another: I get more inspiration from the first few lines of "The Fall of the House of Usher," than an entire novel's worth of a best-seller. That statement is indeed the truth. The classical verbiage that Poe so keenly mastered, strikes such a chord in me that I cannot help but try it for myself. I'm addicted.
