Hmm...sounds oddly like a review I once got after an interview for a job at a hospital.
That aside, I thought this was a fun little story where you managed to capture the essence of the holiday season especially with how 'complicated' getting those presents out can be, and just how hard those little elves work at this time of the year!
Let's hope Santa and Mrs. Claus treats them to more than just delicious hot cocoa.
Oh, and nice touch letting the Missus be in charge of the new recruits.
This was brilliant! Full of festive spirit and whimsy and just the right touch of humor. I especially enjoyed Mrs. Claus being the judge for the auditions. It’s quite fun to imagine Mrs. Claus’ eyes beaming up at the aspiring elves from over her clipboard which has carefully written notes on each elf’s performance—and a new cookie recipe that came to her partway through the trials! Great job!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who messes up on syllable count. I still do and have not overcome that yet. Is it just me or the birthday event is surrounding us with this warm fuzzy feeling all over? Group hug!
Yesterday there was a Diwali Puja (prayer) at Lahe Lahe (where I do my Harry Potter events). Only the Lahe Lahe team, was present, aside from one of their mothers and me. I felt honoured to be included.
We had lunch then did the prayer, which was with a sacred fire and lasted about 45 minutes. All of us took it in turns to do the 'Aarti" at the end. We had lunch and a snack.
I LOVED IT.
It felt warm and family-like. I was surrounded by love, comfort and support.
