I share your love for old, comfy nighties. (I still have a few.)
Sounds like fabric shopping in your area is getting difficult, too. Off the racks clothes are an easy choices for most, I guess. Once Joann's fabric stores shut down in the US, there doesn't appear to be a place that equals it. Amazon has become my go-to store!
Ẃeβ࿚Ẃỉtcĥ - I had warned the Principal that my classes may get noisy, so she has given me the hall near the playground so that I don't disturb other classes. Which means the kids pass by my door on their way back from break. I feel warm and fuzzy when they call out "Hallo Sonali Ma'am!" as they go by!
I'm currently taking Grades 3 and 4 and a 5th Grader came and wistfully asked - "Are you here for us?"
Ẃeβ࿚Ẃỉtcĥ - The dog was over at his other house - my cousin and her brother (who is also my cousin! ) share him - so I didn't see him play with his new carrot! . I'm waiting to hear how he responded!
What wonderful lessons for the children. Reading is extremely important. I hope the teacher will work on bringing those students that are behind up to average reading skill at least.
Sounds like they enjoy these narratives and miming. So creative.
Sounds like it was a lot of fun. We didn't do a lot of plays or acting out, but some. In the 11th grade we did a 2 week reenactment of the founding fathers with the big decision: should we declare independence from England? Our class was only 1 of 2 throughout the history of this activity that did not declare our independence from England. I played a judge that favored staying with England.
Yesterday I went for a book event in which my friend Kalyan was a panelist. It was quite good, about fiction, non-fiction and self-help books. We played a couple of games - create a story and Dumb Charades with book titles. (My team won the story creation game with a score of 39/40! ) Our story was about a boy finding a diary in the library at his home.
I wore my WDC T-shirt and a fellow participant asked about the site and immediately signed up!
My cousin, Ishan Capoor, is launching his second book of poems today! I'm so proud! He's a doctor (pulmonologist) and started writing poems during Covid. His poems reflect healing and caring.
Had a good time at the event to release the post mark for ISRO.
Got invited to go on stage with the dignitaries for the release! So I better act dignified now I suppose!
Attended Ekta's Open Table at Zoey's yesterday.
It was good fun. The highlight was Hindi poems read out by one participant and an English poem read out by another participant who claimed to not-be-creative and was shy of reading aloud but did so.
