After years of ministry in South America, Azul returns home for her last days. |
This is the place to archive my preparation steps for writing my 2021 NaNoWriMo Novel, The Curious Life of a Preacher's Wife. Summary Statement: Many years of ministry in South America have been good for Azul Cara Pequeña Corazon Finalmente Gozo, but she is starting to feel the years. Since the preacher, her husband, Fuerza, died about a year ago, Azul is tired of wallowing in grief. She's ready to make the long trip home. Seven hours in an airplane is not my idea of a good time, but at least it's not forever, and feel like I can make that, even at my age. I do so want to finish my life strolling through that meadow, where I played as a little girl. O, God, please help me to live again, before I die. Grief hits hard when a loved one dies, but for Azul, it has been doubly hard. As a pastor's wife, she had to grieve the loss of time with Fuerza years before when he became "married to the church." Now, she has lost him altogether. He's buried, here, in Paraguay, and I'm all alone. Azul, it's time to go home. Let's find out if anybody we know is still alive in Sycamore. |
