Charles M. Schulz hated the name Peanuts for his comic which was likely chosen because it was a well-known term for children at the time. It was popularized by the TV program The Howdy Doody Show which featured an audience section for children called the "Peanut Gallery".

The actor who originally voiced the Warner Bros. Porky Pig character stuttered in real life. This is why he has been obliged to stutter in every Loony Tunes since. I will be taking a break next Thursday to spend time with family, so don't expect my next entry until next Tuesday.
