I sort of like the sentences used, but a lot of this leaves me very confused. First, the title is "Ways to Disappear", but nothing in the text has anything to do with this. Second, is the line "It will be simple she said." What will be simple exactly? It feels like there was a previous conversation that the reader is not made aware of.
I like the nonsense poem. A few thoughts on the poem. First, "Yogi Bear flying at supersonic speeds", that must be some picnic basket! Second, have you made sure this was ok with the original writers? If I had copied/pasted for my English essay's I would have gotten an F for plagiarism. Lastly, even copying/pasting sounds like too much work for me for a goof off day. I would have started with the nap!
This was absolutely wonderful. I truly felt like I was there watching it like a movie. The setting, characters, and emotions were flawless. I love the idea of a kitsune hiding in plain site in a business. The whole furry/I'm a fox bit was refreshingly lightly humorous. The twist with an owed debt and a search for the guy was a perfect touch. It ended very satisfactory and I hope you make a sequel. I'd love to see the relationship evolve and more use of the unorthodox existence and perils it might bring.
I love the gorgeously detailed scenes, settings, and characters. The story had a nice twist to it, but on the other hand it was also pretty predictable. The characters themselves felt very real. Their thoughts, conversations, and actions helped them feel like actual people actually going through the events. Overall this was an interesting read. Would you be up for a sequal taking place during the date?
This is one mouse my characters (myself) would love to have at their side. I'll think of this image while doing The Cave. The look really suits you. I especially like the rugged leather armor.
Oh man, where to start? First it was really emotional. The beginning was great. You first introduced us to the main character (and hero) through POV (point of view) which then transitioned to the intro of the other characters. You indirectly told us something was wrong, but withheld the details which really hooked me and made me want to continue reading. Second, the ending was both gripping and sad (in a good way). Third, your details were on spot and I enjoyed the little embellishments like the tears floating in the helmet. Overall, the short story was perfect in every way. I'm going to be crying for a bit, I wish you luck in your other writing endeavors.
This was rather interesting. I rather enjoyed the similarity to Douglas Adams "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". It could have used a very depressed AI to match Marvin in my humble opinion. Overall a pretty great job though. Maybe you could make a sequel?
This is a super awesome poem! It flows and rhymes really well. I love how you created the creature with some rather disturbing descriptions. Then there was the part with the question of whether aliens observe us like we observe animals on Earth. I thought that was a nice touch.
I don't suppose absorbing magic & energy to grow bigger could be an option? Another of mine would be befriending humans who love dergs as friendly, mysterious creatures.
This was a nice prayer. We all need to take a step back and ask to be filled with the wonderful peace that only the Lord can bring. This is especially true when we are exhausted from life. This is when we need to be filled the most. It's good to know we can always ask for such spiritual sustenance.
This was a nice interesting story. Did this really happen to you or was the story made up? I'm assuming that there are words in bold because it is a contest entry. If that is the case, what was the contest's prompt? As for the story itself, it was well written and flowed well. I enjoyed how a well meaning explanation wound up backfiring on you.
Wow. Just wow. This is an amazing prayer/psalm. It somewhat reminds me of the prayers David sang to God in the book of Psalms. It is great that you recognize that we need spiritual help in life and that even with that help we will sometimes fail and we must learn our lesson without being too hard on ourselves, asking for forgiveness instead of wallowing in despair. Taking time to acknowledge this without emotions like anger give us a clearer view of how we should change. We all need the Lord's help in this regard. Lastly, I love that you made it rhyme.
I found this bit of poem by searching in random reviews. I got to say that this really caught my eye. I too love peanut butter, especially with jelly. I thought your choice of peanut butter for the poem's subject was a good choice. The poem also flows very nicely.
This is a nice signature. I always liked dragonflies with their iridescent wings and somewhat unusual body shape (for an insect). The spiderweb is very well done. The detail in the signature overall is amazing. The one downside is that the name is rather hard to read.
This was a really nice poem about fall. I like how you pointed out how it was nature putting on a show as the season changes from summer to autumn to winter. I also like the line about the birds. Autumn is indeed beautiful and should be appreciated more. You may have even convinced me to choose autumn as my favorite season. I do, however, have one critique. You could have added more to what fall brings. For example, you could have mentioned backyard BBQ or baseball/football season. There is room for more "meat" in the poem.
This was an interesting item. I can't say that I'm familiar with this particular poem format, but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the story! I liked the ending that let the humans and aliens settle among another peacefully. My one criticism is that the stories plot was rather mediocre. I do, however, understand that this was due to the item being an entry to a prompt contest. It was a nice short read, perfect for a random read (length wise). I wish you luck for any other contests you might enter in the future. I just got one question. How do you recognize an alien police station?
I loved this story very much. It was riveting. I could have sworn that I was there watching the trial unfold. The way you animated your characters was astounding indeed. I thought that the "glimpses" in the accused was a great way to add to the story. They were well timed giving just enough to wonder without giving anything away. I'd like to give extra points for telling the story like it was an actual trial. Realism is more engaging than a cheesy drama. The only reason why it's not a 5.0 is because I save that for a precious few.
Wow. This is a great poem. As a christian I have come across countless praises and prayers and this one really hit me. I think I even cried a little. Jesus is indeed someone deserving to be thanked. It reminds me of the twelve leapers where only one came back to say thanks. I am also reminded of David's prayers. Even with many things going wrong, he acknowledged that God was with him. In a world with so much sin, it's awesome to come across someone who continues to cling to "the life and the way".
You should make multiple choice an option and add both Metroid & Minecraft. I'm stuck between thd two I mentioned, Zelda, Spyro, & Sly Cooper. All so good!
I may be rating this poem as average, but that doesn't mean I did not like it or that I thought an aspect of it was sub-par. I thought the topic/subject of choice was a nice widely identifiable one. Personally it was one of well timing. We all have our difficulties and the sharing of such issues can go a long way in helping others handle their own. Thank you for putting this out there. I, for one, feel that life is a little more bearable now. I hope this review may give you some sunshine in return.
