I am starting a new chapter in my life.....

I started job hunting today...... sort of.
I am working with my new friend Audrey (employment specialist) to get ready to go job hunting.
We're going to be redoing my wardrobe (somewhat) and doing practice interviews and such.

This is where the journey will be documented for posterity.

I also will throw in news about my writing now and again as that is what the site is for.

Okay, so there are scraps of anything that might affect my life ...

Good grief... get my insurance to approve an MRI... incompetence or cold heartedness on their part.

Do you have a family lawyer? If not, there should be local women's health advocates locally. CALL.

Stress = not good. Have no advice though. Breathe? I'm coming out of high anxiety and depression. It's been a slow uphill struggle.

Kathi took me to the post office and library yesterday. I've been aware for some time that I need help. I'm also aware that I'm too depressed to ask. Years ago I didn't get disability support until I caved in. These days feel similar.

At least today was a good day for me.

Oh... and I have my cursor back. It was red before it disappeared. Now it's golden. I have no clue...

I skipped OctoPrep. Too stressful for me. I've done it successfully in the past though. Good luck with that too.

I basically have to do things on my own time as the whip of a deadline doesn't move me unless the whip is in my own hand and even then... self-flagellation isn't healthy.

No one will die if I don't write the Great American Novel.

I was brought up never to write in books. These days I keep a sharpened pencil handy and scribble to my Muse's delight.

Good luck with the job. When I interviewed people, I honestly watched not what they said as much as how they communicated. Eye contact, or just being "present" in the interview. I liked it when they paused before just blurting out an answer. I liked it when they would say something like I had asked a good question that they had thought about for some reason or another. I was looking for people who were team players, good communicators, and it was a plus if they smiled. PS: I can't find your 2nd trinket?

September 26, 2024

I thought I put an entry in here on Monday?????? Oh well.

Yesterday I met with Audrey again. We went over my resume (sorry thing that it is) and things that I could be asked in an interview. There were a lot of questions between the two.

I tried to dress the part, but she didn't say anything. Probably because of the leggings.

Last time we had met I had taken notes. I took my notebook with me but for some reason didn't take it out.

Audrey did say that I answered the questions great. I was honest and the answers were well thought out.

On the writing front, I am at a standstill. I've to the end of Draft 3 of "Rage of Envy Rewrite Project"

and the rewriting process.

Now comes the pushing onward. I've hit a block on it. I think it is because I am working on too many projects at once again. I've been working on RoE, and working on "Nezoom 2024"

in World Weaving Workshop. Now with October coming up, I plan on working on Nezoom for October Novel Prep Month. I think I'm going to set RoE aside until I see where Nezoom is going.

Looking for work and getting a job and working is going to start cutting into my time too.

I'm doing what I need and want to do. I just hope everything falls into place.
