This Anthology's Setup This anthology will features stories set across the entire breadth of The Shrunken Universe (Son, Father, Wife, and more). None of these stories are technically canon to the interactive stories they are based upon. This is purely meant to be fun, exploring wild and crazy possibilities never-before-possible. The way this will work is that each chapter/entry will be a completely different What-If scenario set within one of the pre-established interactive stories of The Shrunken Universe. I'll be sure to state which story serves as the basis for each entry, as well as which POV character we are following (since these will all still be written in 2nd-person. However, to take advantage of the format, these storylines will go to some wild places that would be downright impossible in the normal interactive stories. Ever wanted to see Lauren be a sadistic tiny hater? Ever wanted to see what would happen in Jenna was also born as a tiny? Ever wanted to see how things would unfold with Inez as the tiny child and Allegra as an unaffected? Or how about Piper as a big bad giantess? I can't promise each of these ideas will come to fruition (I'm making them up as I type this message), but they could! Feel free to shoot me a message if there's any scenarios/storylines you'd love to see explored in a zany anthology like this! Background of the Shrunken Universe Some years ago, the world irrevocably changed. Now referred to as The Great Shrinking, some sort of invisible field of energy erupted across the entire globe, and a percentage of the world's population instantaneously shrunk. In the years since, none of been able to determine what caused that first shrinking, but it irrevocably altered the DNA of all humans across the globe, giving all future mothers the chance to birth shrunken children. Both men and women were affected by the shrinking in a literal sense, but the entire world was also rocked by the shrinking. Especially as, with mothers now having a chance to birth affected individuals, the population of those shrunken people grew larger and harder to ignore. Scientists were quick to dub those shrunken as "affected", and those left untouched as "unaffected". This has not stopped many from simply referring to the miniscule individuals in their daily lives as "tinies". It was not an easy thing for society to stabilize after such a dramatic incident, and there would be many who would say that only now has the world achieved something akin to equilibrium. Organizations rose up in the past, like the Center for Tiny Care (CTC), that sought to subjugate and control all tinies in existence, breaking their wills and molding them to serve the unaffected. Other organizations were created to challenge the CTC, with none being as effective and prosperous as the Fair Tiny Treatment Foundation (FTTF). The two organizations clashed relentlessly, society frequently bouncing back and forth between inhumane archaic torture of tinies, and widespread policies and inventions to assist affected individuals. This constant conflict often hindered the societal acceptance and kind treatment initiatives for the affected, and only recently have things begun to calm down. |
