Joy your Nano experience seems to be a big part of your life.
This poem relays the fears, hopes, and dreams in a few short lines.

I do SO love this. It's all about what I'm going through with Pierre right now.

Short and sweet. I love the idea of "emptying of my heart, cleaning of all spills known or unknown." That is just so what's going on right now in my life.

There is so much going on here, Joy. The central idea of holding the moon in one's hand is brilliant, and the rest works well around it.

I've often thought you should really go back and re-work your poetry. So much of it is great as it's posted on WDC, but this piece could be even better if you'd give it more room to breathe. I fear that there is not enough on the page to do full justice to your ideas.

The poems don't have anything to do with the plots.

They are personal incidents hiding under a quilt.
Please, do use the idea. I may do another one with the beginnings.

Your take on Hemingway is great. The purest poetry comes from .III. It is marvelous. Not being acquainted with the first two books, your poetic renditions seem to have more summary-like sound than poems that go beyond the endings, although the images of "the misfit" are bright, if not sad. "...this struggle to remember // what dreams tried to tell." Such power!

I love this idea Joy, and may borrow it this week.

Love the simplicity and the positive twist at the end. Who cares if the seed grows up to be more than he is if he's happy in the sun just waiting and watching life go by?
