I started addressing this nightmare with my earlier post: "content filter" ![]() I received an answer to that post: "Re: content filter" ![]() ![]() Here is the "rest of the story" My content blocker is set to block GC and above My granddaughter's content blocker is set to block ASR and above I set a Blocker passcode on my granddaughter's account. I do not remember ever having set one on mine but I might have. I used the passcode on her account for her to see my forum currently rated 18+ She SAW it . . . because it is visible in the box when you enter it and when you click back on your browser. She wasn't trying to see it, we were sitting there together and she was just clicking to go back to what she had been previouly reading. We both then saw the visible passcode! So I told her that I would be changing it later. So then we get to today. I had read my new friend's blog before . . . perhaps her content rating was recently changed. Anyway, today I was alerted that her blog was GC and asked to enter a Blocker passcode. I didn't remember having ever set up a blocking passcode on my own account, so I attempted to do so. It said that I needed to enter my old passcode.Well, the only passcode that I remembered entering was that on my granddaugter's account. That is when I wondered if it setting my granddaughter's passcode automatically set mine. I then went back to my new friends' blog. I entered the passcode set up in my granddaughter's account and it worked. I then tried to use that passcode to reset the passcode from my account but that did not work. I then went to my granddaughter's account. I was able to reset it from her account . . . BUT it did not disable the old passcode! Now we have two passcodes that will work to bypass the blocker on both her account and my account AND they can only be controlled from HER account. This problem may need a storymaster answer! Have I totally messed up the entire system??? ~ ~ ~ ruwth ~ ~ ~ a WDC enthusiast! ![]() |
