This form was invented by Jan Turner.

Number of Lines:
8 lines in two quatrains (two 4-line stanzas)

More lines may be added in multiples of 8


Rules/Meter:
Syllable counts per line: 8, 8, 8, 12
*see rhyming requirements below

Rhyme Scheme:
The first, second and fourth lines are all end-rhymed,
and the eighth syllable of line four rhymes with the end of line three,
as described and demonstrated in the link provided above.

Choices for the poets to make this week: Your poem can be about any topic.
