Following up -- from the login log from the account, it shows you are requesting the link and then trying to log in.

Please note that you need to use the reset link delivered in the email to reset your password.
Requesting the link and then trying to login will yield a login failure because you have not used the link to reset the password.

         

There should be a middle step logged that says the password has been reset.

You're skipping the step of actually setting the password to what you want it to be.
You're requesting the link and then trying to login ...
But you haven't set a password.
