On FandomSecrets, there has been chatter about literacy issues. Allow me to share a couple quotes. Nah man, it is the reading. Kids are unable to read whole works and need "interactive media" or to have works broken into small bite size bits to be able to function. Plus, reading comprehension is at an all time low. So even if they are able to read they don't fully understand what they're reading unless someone spoon feeds it to them. I work in education in the US. It has gotten so bad over the past 5 years or so, though there had been a noticeable decline even before that. For both those in/near the education field and those more removed for it, I have some questions.  What are your thoughts on this? What factors do you see contributing to this the most?
