For everyone who was a bit off with their answers to this question, please keep this post number handy for future reference...


When one increases their level of paid membership, The Membership System takes the GP cost of a one year membership and divides it by 365 days. It refunds one day's worth of GPs for each day of overlapping membership.

This is the case when upgrading from any level of membership to another level:

Basic to Upgraded: 150,000 / 365 = 411 GPs Per Day refunded...
Basic to Premium: 150,000 / 365 = 411 GPs Per Day refunded...
Upgraded to Premium: 450,000 / 365 = 1233 GPs Per Day refunded...

It does refund for EVERY DAY remaining. It does, however, deduct two (2) days worth of GPs as a service fee (which helps to ensure there is no fraud or abuse of the automated refund system).

The Gift Point email that's sent after the increase in membership does briefly explain what they're for and how they were calculated.
