Contest Overview & Rules



Eligibility:
This is a weekly contest held monthly and is open to all WDC members, except staff (identified in red cases). This ensures fair participation among regular members.

Prompt Type:
Most rounds feature an open prompt, giving authors full creative freedom. If a specific theme or requirement is set, it will be clearly announced for that week.

Content Rating:
Entries rated higher than R18+ will be automatically disqualified. Please ensure your submission complies with Writing.com content guidelines.

Entry Limit:
Only one entry per author per week is permitted. This helps maintain fairness and gives everyone equal opportunity to participate.

Submission Format:
Please post your entry in BITEM format to ensure consistency and proper review within the forum.

Poetry Type:
All forms of poetry are welcome. Entries may be previously awarded or unpublished, unless a specific round states otherwise.

Subject Line Requirement:
When posting, place the TITLE of your entry in the SUBJECT LINE so submissions are easy to identify and organize.
