A disgruntled FTPS employee has opened her mailbag to let us have a look! |
 ...who decided to open an account at Writing.com and post all the letters in her mailbag! Now all the little know facts, and the untold truths never before seen outside of Fairytale Land are out in the open! Have you ever wondered what the Three Little Pigs might have written to one another? What about Snow White? Did she and the Seven Dwarves keep in touch? Were Hansel and Gretl really as sweet as....well, candy?  The contest will run from October 11th until October 25th. Your quest is to write a letter in the voice of a fairytale character to another character. It may be about the character's life, or concerns, or reactions to an event or another character. Make it humorous but keep it within the 13+ rating! (I  easily) It must be written using proper letter writing format: date, salutation, body, closing, and signature in the form of the characters name. It should be submitted as a bitem {bitem:894949} renders:
It must be 500 words or less. Anything over will be automatically disqualified and deleted. Any fairytale or folktale, regardless of origin, may be used. Limited to one entry per contestant Now for the important stuff THE PRIZES! Every entry will receive 100 gps as a thank you. An extra 100 will be given to Decathlon entrants; however, they must display the Decathlon icon in their sig. First prize: 50,000 gps
Second prize: 25,000 gps
Third prize: 10,000 gps
Three Honorable Mentions: 5000 gps a piece.
Special Recognition Award: 20,000 gps billwilcox This award will be given to the letter determined by vote from all qualifying contestants as the favorite entry. The award will not automatically go to the winner unless the other contestants view it the favorite piece. Any donations will be used to offer larger prizes and possibly more prize categories |
