15 for 15 Contest --- Closed

This contest will run for 15 days! The start date is June 6th and will run to June 20th..

Every day a photo prompt will be posted. It will change each day around 7:30am Writing.com time. You will have 24 hours in which to post your entry. Writing.com time and date are shown at the top of the IM Console.

Each contestant will view the prompt and write for 15 minutes.
         You have 15 minutes, don't you???

There is a daily minimum of 15 words. There is no maximum word count, only a 15 minute limit of writing. You do NOT need to put a word count or begin / end time in your post.

Write a scene, prose, poetry... anything you like, as long as the rating does not exceed [18+]. The prompts do not have to complete a story or link together as one story. You can write a few paragraphs one day and poetry the next. Write whatever format you choose!

Unlike other contests, you will post your entries directly in the forum. No link necessary! Please type the [DATE & TITLE] in the Message Subject for the prompt you are posting.

Revisions/Edits can be done until I read the posts.
         Please don't use too much extra time doing so, it wouldn't be fair.

Because of the volume each day, entries will not be reviewed by Legerdemain. If you'd like other members to review your entry, create a static (or book) item in your portfolio with your entry. You may post an item link to it in your forum message or email me and I'll put a link next to your contestant name. You still have to post your full entry directly in a forum message each day.

You must post the first post on the first day, if you do not enter, your slot will be filled and you will be disqualified from this round. You must post all 15 prompts to qualify for prizes. You can make up missed days (except day one) but late entries will not qualify for the daily prizes. If you miss three entries, you will be dropped. You cannot post ahead of time, the prompts will be revealed each day and left revealed for anyone lagging behind.

Entries are judged by creativity related to the prompt. I will choose a daily winner and award them 1000 Gift Points. (If numerous people enter the contest there will be more than one daily prize winner awarded in descending order to eliminate ties. (1003,1002,1001,1000)The number of daily prizes will be announced at the beginning of the contest.)


GPs for any and all prizes will be awarded at the end of the contest ONLY to those still remaining in the contest. This contest requires wit and commitment; the opportunity is available to make up missed prompts. All prompts must be completed by the end of the contest to receive earned GPs. If a contestant misses three prompts, they will be dropped from the standings and will not qualify for accumulated prizes.

There will also be overall grand prizes awarded based on top accumulated daily prizes. These will be awarded at the end of the contest:

         You may post questions in this forum, in "Chat Forum for 15 for 15 Contest"  or email them to me.

Please post indicating that you wish to be a contestant with a subject line of [JOIN].
         You will receive a reminder email a day or two before the contest begins.
         Number of contestants is limited to 50.
         If you miss posting the day one entry, you will be replaced with a member from the waiting list.
