Re: Re: Story Elements
Well, Well Toasted, I have read your post and thought I would pass on the following.

I am a country bumkin. I have not taken any creative writing courses, but I have read two books on the subject of writing (writing Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy for publication, and writing mysteries) I read two thats it. Then I found the following qoutes; To become a better writer; read everything and write. You are a writer when the first thing you think of in the morning is writing. And the last thing you think of each night is writing.

Now that I have rambled which seems to be something I do alot on this site. Find a style that works for you and go with it. If writing an outline helps you find your story, then do it. If just having a message you want to get across and it comes out better just off the top of your head, again do it. Sometimes it will change with the story you tell. For example my fantasy story is from outline and rewritten til I am mostly happy with it. My drama, Perpetual Rage, is pretty much just straight off the top of my head with no rewrite as yet just blood, sweat, and tears.

I hope this has been helpful.
