Re: OT: How do I open the floodgates?
Howdy!

You have your answer, though you may not like it.

You have to access the stuff that is "too personal". Put it on the page. You don't necessarily have to show it to anyone. You simply do this to "unclog" the drain pipes, so to speak. In the process you may find what you're looking for.

Also read. A lot.

And lastly: I have a little book that I use to get me started each time I write. Its called The Writer's Block. Its a thick, block-shaped book that has little topics and such on each page. I randomly open it to a page and start tapping the keys based on whatever topic comes up. It doesn't matter if what I write initially makes sense or not; just that its down on the page. Before I'm consciously aware of it, I'm making changes and fixing things with an aim toward a consistant whole. And when I realize I'm doing this, I stop and begin working on what I really want to be working on.

Hope this helps!
