Directly (family/friends as victims) no. Indirectly, yes. I have two friends who serve the VTI community as Chaplains. There are three VTI students from this area, but none were killed--although one was injured.

We have some members of the WDC community, as well who are directly involved with the care of those affected.

Personally? Yes. Having been not only a University student, but a Faculty member (not at VTI), it has personally affected me. I hope this answers your question.
