I just want to make sure I understand you.

1. The right to sing Christmas Carols- where? in public schools? in churches?

2. Keeping monuments from being torn down - what kinds of monuments? where?

3. the right of mayors *not* to perform civil unions in states where the law was passed by judicial Coups. - You must be referring to Massachusetts. I think it is the town or city clerk who performs the ceremonies here, but that doesn't matter. Some mayors and city clerks want to perform the ceremonies; others don't. Are you suggesting that the mayor or clerk should be able to decide whether to perform the ceremony or not? So a couples from, let's say Medford, might not to be able to have the ceremony in Medford if their mayor or clerk doesn't want to perform it, but they could come to Somerville to have it, where the clerk is happy to do it?
