I suggest you give us an example - either from your own writing or someone elses. I think I know what you mean, but writing layers is an advanced technique that is probably beyond most of us at WDC.
OK, I can think of a simple example: the metaphor. A metahpor is when you write something that has different meanings on the literal and figurative levels. I think I achieved this in my poem now out for review (plug plug) "Invalid Item" . On a literal level it is about a form of dancing. On a figurative level it is about an approach to life. This a very simple example, probably simpler than you are trying to achieve, but maybe it's a start.
