Re: Re: Can I use "Ya-Ya" in the title of my book??
by A Non-Existent User
The six word title is actually quite catchy, to my eyes, even with the use of Ya-Ya in it. lol. I've tried to figure out a different set of words for Ya-Ya, but it simply fits.
Here's what has happened: I completed nearly 95% of the book, which is a non-fiction topic, and one I know quite well. I got more than 35 rejections of my query, and at least that many which were ignoring me. Stopped counting at that point, at least. I let it all sit for two months--it was simply too discouraging and maddening.
Then it hit me this week. Change the title to represent something comically satirical, and figure out a way to weave the satire and humor throughout what is serious non-fiction. I'm actually excited, even if threatened by the creativity it will take. lol
