I found myself reading everyones comments and, in some way, agreeing with them all as well as having a few more opinions myself; If I get low stars and no explanation I try to re-read and re-read until I see what it is that's upset someone so bad!
Maybe it would be good to have category stars - like bizarre Olympics - where each star is awarded on such component pieces like, 'twee' smiles, 'scream' levels, 'giggle' points, 'grammar' crams, 'dialogue' sparring and 'how drunk were you' ratings.
Reviewing is entirely subjective, just like the initial writing was. All I know for sure is that thanks to writing.com, I've had more people read my stuff in three days than I have in three years - including that low scoring, silent, non-reviewer. Ace.
