It rained in Boston so we didn't go to the pops concert and fireworks, but we watched it on TV. The concert is actually better on TV, but the fireworks are pretty ho hum . Conductor Keith Lockhart looked pretty bedraggled by the end, as did the crowd, but everyone in the audience was singing and rocking and waving flags.

The 1812 Overture is the signature July 4th piece in Boston with cannons, church bells, and fireworks written right into the piece.
