WASL: Washington Assessment of Student Learning, exactly the same thing as your NCLB I think, though I don't know what NCLB stands for. I recognized it by your disdainful description "teaching to the test." Though, if we'd like to discuss this further could we please make a new thread for it as it has a relationship to parts of the immigration topic but is, in itself, entirely different? Thanks!
