Thank you! I will certainly try to keep this in mind. Considering the novel will be more of a paranormal "detective," in fact she's not even part of the police or a detective of any kind, I don't know how all that rational discovery will come into play. But I write magical realism, and try to make that as realistic as I can, so it might naturally work itself out.
