Absolute Horror Film Forum

Ghost Rig has been playing on Chiller for the last week or so. I am so grateful that Chiller is finally playing movies that i have not watched. But that does not make them good. I would rather sit through a bad-ish horror movie than a drama.

Ghost Rig, also knew as The Devils Tattoo, which is a title I like much better, but as far as I can tell that title had nothing to do with the movie.

2003 When a group of environmental activists board an oilrig to broadcast their protest to the outside world, they find the entire rig abandoned. A hidden video camera is discovered revealing that the entire rig's workforce has been gradually wiped out by an evil entity, which uses the bodies of the living and moves from person to person, leaving the host dead. Locked in a battle of survival, they begin their search for the spirit. What they don't know is that this spirit is now one of them...

The acting is good and so is the camera work but lacks: Pacing, scares, gore and originality.

It is better than a trip to the dentist.
